Christmas at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida is truly magical. Christmas decorations festoon the Magic Kingdom as all the lands celebrate this truly worldwide holiday. Children of all ages from one to 101 will find Christmas time at Walt Disney World the experience of a lifetime.
First entering on Main Street USA, visitors will see Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party underway on selected nights of the week from early November through the week before Christmas. From after dark at 7:00 until midnight, holiday wishes ring with parades, ornaments and the sounds of the season as Santa Claus comes to celebrate the spirit of Christmas. There is special pricing for the nights of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and each scheduled night is announced early in the year.
Christmas Pageantry with Holiday Wishes
The week before Christmas sees the pageantry and spectacular Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks and musical gala. During the show each featured night visitors will see one of the largest and most beautiful fireworks displays in the world choreographed to the sounds of timeless Christmas classics. It even snows in Florida on Main Street during the show! Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season is part of the Holiday experience and requires no additional ticket or charge. Those visitors who plan ahead to make this wonderful kingdom part of their Christmas holiday will receive one of the best presents under the tree with this memorable and marvelous show.
Christmas Traditions - Cinderella's Castle is the Centerpiece
Of course, from Main Street USA to Tomorrowland to Fantasyland every building, plaza and thoroughfare is filled with the brightest and happiest of Christmas decorations. Young children will be amazed with the lights and colors while adults can soak in the beauty and charm of both old world Christmas traditions and contemporary holiday offerings. The centerpiece is Cinderella’s castle decorated from drawbridge to the tallest parapet in lights and more magical Christmas decorations. During Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party there will be featured live music performances around the Magic Kingdom and even hot cocoa and cookies to make the party complete!
Familiar characters we have all come to know and love in the spirit of Christmas will be all around. From Mickey Mouse, the seven dwarfs and Sleeping Beauty to Buzz Lightyear, Goofy and Snow White, all will be out and about in the holiday spirit.
