When visitors first arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom, they can obtain maps illustrating the layout of the park, which is divided into seven different themed areas such as Discovery Island, Camp Minni-Mickey and Africa, just to name a few. Each of these areas features their own attractions, shops and eateries.
From rides and roller coasters to exciting shows and animal exhibits, guests have a wide selection of attractions offered in the park.
Rides and Roller Coasters
Experience thrill and adventure with the high speed roller coaster, Expedition Everest. Board a rail car that rambles up the dangerous Forbidden Mountain and passes through dark tunnels. Crest the high peak to see amazing views of the park below just before plunging down the mountain in sheer acceleration.
Kali River Rapids
Be prepared to get wet when you float along the tossing Chakranadi River on a river raft through the lush jungle of the Asian rainforest. Smell the jasmine just before splashing into cascading geysers and gliding beneath invigorating waterfalls.
Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition
Hop into an open-sided vehicle and begin an adventurous safari ride at the Harambe Wildlife Reserve near the Discovery Island. Ride along bumpy roads, up hills, over bridges and through rivers. Be rewarded with awesome sightings of animals like zebras, antelope, rhinos, crocodiles, giraffes, lions and more.
Be entertained by mesmerizing live performance shows like the "Festival of the Lion King." Based on the movie, "The Lion King," this show is hosted in an air conditioned theater in the Camp Minnie-Mickey area.
Located in the DinoLand U.S.A. area, visitors can watch the musical, "Finding Nemo," with its spellbinding puppets and special effects.
Enter the Tree of Life theater and watch the 3D Disney-Pixar movie, "A Bug's Life."
Flights of Wonder

Disney's Animal Kingdom offers a wide selection of dining options such as themed restaurants like the Rainforest Cafe, where guests can enjoy pasta, vegetables and poultry in a jungle atmosphere. Located in the Africa area, the Tusker House Restaurant serves a buffet of carved meats, salads, side dishes and desserts.
